Sidney Lanier Cottage Endowment

The Sidney Lanier Cottage was constructed in 1840. Sidney Lanier was born in the “Cottage” on February 3, 1842, and moved to Griffin, Georgia shortly after his birth. A poet, Lanier was known for his copious letters, poems, and manuscripts. The Sidney Lanier Cottage House Museum is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. In 1976, the “Cottage” was designated a Landmark of American Music, and in 2004, designated a Landmark of American Poetry by the Academy of American Poets.

The fund to which you are making an online contribution will be charged a processing fee of 2.598% of the amount of your contribution plus $0.26 per transaction, which is the actual fee charged to CFCG by the processing vendor. This will not affect the amount of your tax deduction for this contribution. Your contribution will still be tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law. If you do not want the fund to incur the fee, you may make your contribution by mailing a check to CFCG.
