CFCG recently awarded $344,000 in grants to 26 local nonprofit organizations through its Nonprofit Grant Program. Grants from the program provide funding to a wide variety of nonprofit organizations working to address the most urgent needs and opportunities across the region.

Heart of Georgia Hospice | $7,000
For Camp Wings, a bereavement camp for children ages 6-18.

Mother’s Nest | $5,000
For a community workshop aimed at improving the health and well-being of mothers and their babies.

Ferst Readers of Lamar County | $13,000
For the Literacy for All Lamar Children project, which hopes to provide books each month all Lamar County children age birth-5 years old.

Black Swanzz Foundation | $13,000
For the Level-UpHER project which provides holistic mentoring and life coaching for female learners in grades 6-12.

Rehoboth Life Care Ministries | $17,000
To provide preventive and emergency dental services for those who cannot afford such care.

Torchlight Academy | $5,000
For the Real Talk Studio Arts Masterclass Series.

United in Pink | $15,000
For breast cancer post-surgery care and recovery kits that are designed to ease the health burden and help patients navigate the healing process.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Heart of Georgia | $20,000
For the Mentoring for Change in Central Georgia program, which connects kids one on one with mentors.

iHOPE-International Holistic Opportunities to Promote Empowerment | $12,000
To purchase a 15 passenger van to expand peer-to-peer transportation services throughout Central Georgia. 

Rescue Mission of Middle Georgia | $20,000
To build a transitional home for the women and children who have completed their long-term, life recovery program and are ready to move toward independent living.

Spark Macon | $12,000
The Lemonade Stand program, which introduces youth and adults to entrepreneurship.

Wesleyan College | $20,000
For the Wesleyan College Community Intern program at the new Creating Equal Opportunity Institute.

21st Century Partnership Foundation | $12,000
To provide transportation and event support in an effort to increase participation in STEM activities from students in rural and underserved communities.

Meals on Wheels of Middle Georgia | $11,000
To update their data collection reporting system and office technology.

Angela’s Anointed Angels | $7,000
For their Community Resource Center, which provides basic food supplies and clothing to the homeless and less fortunate.

Georgia Kinship Project | $6,000
To expand their outreach services to relative caregivers.

Habitat for Humanity of Putnam County | $15,000
To purchase a HVAC system for their new ReStore and Administrative Center.

Museum of Aviation Foundation | $15,000
For an Educator Workshop Series focused on the integration of STEM and literature.

Real IMAPCT Center | $13,000
For the Girls will be Women in STEaM Conference.

The Methodist Home for Children and Youth | $18,000
For the Infant Early Childhood Mental Health Consultation Program.

The Urban CEO | $18,000
For the Urban Leadership Academy, and eight month interactive program for leadership development in business, charitable causes and civic issues.

Trinity United Methodist Church | $12,000
For the ‘Lead in our City’ and ‘Kids in our City’ programs.

DePaul USA | $14,000
For Daybreak, which provides essential services to those challenged by poverty and homelessness.

Keep Macon-Bibb Beautiful | $10,000
To host community paper shredding, electronics recycling, and household hazardous waste disposal events.

Leave it Better | $17,000
To revitalize a downtown area on King Street with an attractive pocket park in Dodge County, GA.

Middle Georgia State University | $17,000
For its Peer Mentoring program to assist students with their academic and personal acclimation to Middle Georgia State.
