CFCC Grant ProgramHousing Study
A solid understanding of the demand for housing in downtown Douglas is a driving force in downtown economic development efforts. Before communities can attract and retain downtown businesses, a residential presence is necessary – “rooftops before retail.” To better understand the residential market potential of downtown Douglas, the Community Foundation of Coffee County spearheaded a housing study with the research firm Zimmerman-Volk Associates.
Wheeler Park Vision Plan
Thanks to the leadership of the Community Foundation of Coffee County, an affiliate of Community Foundation of Central Georgia, and The City of Douglas, Wheeler Park now has a new vision plan to help guide development of park improvements over the next few years.
CFCC teamed up Interface Studio LLC in May 2019 in order to establish a new, community-based vision for Wheeler Park, which included research and analysis, community outreach and a conception park design. Together, CFCC and Interface Studio created a vision plan to transform of Wheeler Park.
