Earlier this summer, we hosted, along with several partner organizations, the 8th annual Central Georgia Philanthropy Forum – a continuing education opportunity for professional advisors from across the region interested in learning charitable giving strategies to help better advise their clients. As we worked with the Central Georgia Estate Planning Council, Museum of Arts and Sciences, Museum of Aviation Foundation and the Navicent Health Foundation to welcome more than 50 advisors to the conference, we began to reflect on the power of collaboration and the partnerships that are strengthening our communities.

Local advisors represent one of our most vital partnerships and play a key role in helping the Community Foundation of Central Georgia (CFCG) enhance the quality of life for people across the region through philanthropy. Their clients want to make a positive difference, and CFCG is here to support advisors and their clients in the giving process. Advisors know their clients, and CFCG knows philanthropy.

For the client who wants to make an immediate philanthropic impact, to the couple hoping to leave a legacy, to the family with a complicated tax situation, together, we can help them make a philanthropic impact, meet their financial planning goals and enjoy maximum tax advantages. Here are a few ways we do that:

·        As a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, we provide maximum tax benefits to donors

·        Our professional staff can offer extensive knowledge and expertise about local charitable organizations and projects

·        We offer the ability to establish customized funds with a wide variety of different assets now or through an estate

·        Donors may remain anonymous through a fund at CFCG
