In the summer of 1999, Macon musicians and brothers Brax and Tate Bragg were on a cross-country road trip when their lives were tragically cut short by a car accident. Back in Macon, friends organized an impromptu jam session of local musicians to celebrate and honor the Bragg brothers’ talented lives. By 2005, this annual jam session expanded into a city-wide music festival and nonprofit organization. Today, Bragg Jam has evolved into a full-scaled community arts festival and Macon’s premier music event. Money raised from Bragg Jam is donated to the Ocmulgee Heritage Trail in Brax and Tate Bragg’s honor. The Bragg Jam Fund is an endowment to support the Bragg Jam Festival. http://www.braggjam.org/
