Scholarship Frequently Asked Questions

How do I access the Online Application?

You will need to apply for a User Name and Password for our website. This process can take up to 2 days to complete. You will not receive an e-mail informing you that your information has been processed, please check back by attempting to log in to the website.

What if I have lost or forgotten my User Name and Password?

If you have lost or forgotten your User Name and Password, please contact the Foundation office at (478) 750-9338. Please do not attempt to create another User Name and Password.

What are the deadlines for the scholarships?

The deadlines are March 31 and May 31 of each year. Please check the individual scholarships for their deadlines.

Can I apply for more than one scholarship?

Yes. You can apply for as many scholarships as you meet the requirements for. As you complete the application you will have the opportunity to indicate which scholarships you would like to apply for, at that point you may select one or more scholarships for which you qualify. After that you will need to complete supplemental questions that relate specifically to that scholarship. Some scholarships have additional attachments that must be completed.

Do I have to meet all eligibility requirements to qualify for a scholarship?

Yes, you have to meet all eligibility requirements or criteria.

What do I do if I do not yet know where I will be attending school?

If you do not know where you will be attending at the time of submission, please indicate the schools from which you are considering and have the one that you would most like to attend complete the Financial Aid Form.

Are there additional attachments that go along with specific scholarship funds?

Yes, some scholarships have forms that are specific to their fund and will need to be completed prior to submission.

Can I mail you my letter of recommendation or another required supporting document?

No, we do not want anything mailed to the Foundation office during the application process. If you have made a mistake and submitted your application without an attachment please contact the Foundation Office at (478) 750-9338 for help. If you submit a paper document during the application process it will not come through our database and we will be unable to add it to the application for review. Please submit ALL documents via the online application.

If I upload my transcript to the website it is no longer an official transcript, is that okay?

During the application process, please submit your transcript online. We understand that this will not be an official transcript once that is done. If you are selected to receive a scholarship you will be required to submit an official transcript at the end of the fall semester, with your fall grades to receive your spring payment.

What do I do if I cannot get the Financial Aid form completed by the deadline date?

If you cannot get the form completed by that time please contact the Foundation office at (478) 750-9338.

Who completes the Financial Aid Form?

The Financial Aid Office of the school you will be attending will have the information needed to complete this form. Contact them with a request to complete the form.

If I am selected to receive a scholarship, how do I receive my payment?

First, you will need to contact the Foundation office with your school of choice and Student ID number. Once the Foundation has that information they will send half of your payment to the school for the Fall semester. You will not be able to receive a check for the amount of the scholarship. After the Fall semester is complete you will need to send the Foundation Office a copy of your Official Transcript for grade verification. Once your eligibility has been confirmed, the Foundation will send the second half of your scholarship award to the school.
