Scholarship Program

For the 2010-2011 academic year, the Community Foundation of Central Georgia awarded more than $68,000 in college scholarships from 14 scholarship funds to benefit 58 students from Central Georgia.  CFCG has 20 scholarship funds, which allow our donors to invest in the future by helping deserving students pursue higher education. Students benefit from the financial assistance as well as the academic recognition of being a scholarship recipient.  Please note that not all scholarships are available or awarded on an annual basis.  

To apply for a CFCG scholarship, please follow these steps:

(1) Register for a User ID and Password for our website. 

(2) Review the Scholarship Fund descriptions and guidelines for each scholarship fund to determine which scholarships you are eligible for.  NEW! We encourage you to make a note of the funds for which you intend to apply.  Near the end of the online application, you will be required to check a box for each fund for which you are eligible to apply.

(3) Go to Scholarship Forms section and make sure that you have each of the items in this section complete and in an electronic format (preferrably PDF) to upload when you begin an application.

(4) NEW! This year, there will be one Master Scholarship Application.  Near the end, you will have the opportunity to select the funds for which you want to apply.  For each fund that you select, there will be additional questions, essays and attachments to complete.  Click on Online Application on the left toolbar to begin.  Please note that only online applications will be considered, and applications that do not have all of the required supporting documents submitted electronically will not be considered. 

To return to a Scholarship Application that you've started and not submitted, or to view the status of your submitted applications, go to My CFCG, and then select My Scholarship Applications.
